Am I the only one who doesn’t get the term “organic vegetables”? Aren’t all vegetables organic? That’s what my dictionary says, anyway. If my vegetables aren’t organic, does that mean they are actually made out of Play-doh with one of those clever pressing machines? Actually, that would explain a great deal of substandard meals over the years.
Whenever I discover a good online journal, I feel compelled to go back and read it from the very beginning. I’m in the process of doing this right now for Loobylu’s site, and I can’t help but look at the dates for the various entries and recall what I was doing at the time. I do this for every set of archives I go through, things like “Oh, January 3, 2000…on that day I was walking up and down Redondo Beach in LA listening to a Lenny Kravitz CD…”
It’s generally all the same period of time, too, since a large portion of weblogs sprang up at roughly the same time, so I keep going through the same period of time, over and over again. One of these days I’ll think to myself “Gee, on that date I was sitting at a computer here at work, writing in this journal,” and it will be such a totally uninspiring memory that I’ll be forced to move my ass and go actually go do something.
